City Gomel: free walking route “The playbill the heroes ran away from” along the sights. 6 points. Approximately 50 min. Quests and legends - straight from
Today Gomel is playing a fairy tale. A big playbill hung at the city theatre, and a show was due to begin in the evening. But trouble struck: the heroes simply stepped off the playbill! Some hid by the road, some froze right on the street — and now the playbill is empty, and the show is about to fall through.
You are the playbill’s little helper. Walk along the street, find every runaway and call them back. A grown-up will read the hints and choose a safe way, and you look with your eyes, point with your finger and say who you have found. Ready? Then off we go after the first hero!
The route points in order — what these places are and why they are interesting. Tasks and answers stay inside the quest.
The first to run off the playbill was the most needed hero — without him the city’s streets would have been buried in litter long ago. There he is, frozen by the road as if he had sat down to rest after work.
The second runaway is not a person but a kind phrase. Polite people say it to each other when someone sneezes loudly: “Achoo!” — and a warm wish not to get ill comes right back.
And here is a true fairy-tale guest: a girl with blue hair. She did not come to the theatre alone — her faithful four-legged friend runs beside her.
The next hero could not hide — one funny detail on his face gives him away at once. This is the wooden boy who was carved from a plain log.
Another fairy-tale performer — very angry and fearsome. He has not visited the barber for ages and ages, so something on him has grown ever so long, almost down to the ground.
All the heroes are on the playbill — but wait! Before the show, the performers must be examined by one important person: he will check that everyone is well, listen to how each one breathes, and allow them onto the stage.
