Do you know what happens in Grodno every day at 11:58? A real trumpeter climbs the old fire lookout tower and plays a short tune. That is how the city came to have its own musical tradition.
But one day something went wrong: a wind blew in from the Neman and scattered the seven voices of the trumpeter's tune all over Grodno. They flew away and hid, some on a roof, some on a church wall, some right by the water. Without them, the trumpet sounds quiet and lonely.
Will you be the city orchestra's keen listener and help the trumpeter bring back all seven voices? Go from stop to stop and look closely at every figure and detail. That way, the voices will be found one by one. A grown-up will help with the map and road crossings, but finding the voices is your job. The first is hiding right on the lookout tower. Let's go!

Here is the lookout tower: a tall fire tower built of stone back in 1902. Once upon a time, a lookout kept watch at the very top, day and night.
The second voice echoes off the walls of Farny Church on Sovetskaya Square. This is one of Grodno's most beautiful churches: grand and ornate, built in the Baroque style more than three hundred years ago.
It is quite a way to the next voice, and the trumpeter has prepared a rest stop for you, right on pedestrian Sovetskaya Street. This is Grodno's main street for a stroll: cafés, ice cream, musicians and old houses all around.
The third voice is waiting by the park entrance. And this is no ordinary park: almost two hundred and fifty years ago, the French scientist Jean Gilibert laid out a botanical garden here, one of the best in all of Europe, with thousands of different plants.
The fourth voice ran away to the water, to the Gorodnichanka stream that flows quietly through the city. A fairy-tale resident of the stream has settled right beside the water, with her long hair loose.
The fifth voice came from far away, together with a little bronze traveller on Ozheshko Street. She appeared in Grodno in 2009 and became a symbol of the city, as if to say that travel can be without borders.
The last, seventh voice is waiting at the gates of Grodno Zoo, the oldest zoo in Belarus. You do not need to go inside: the imaginary voices of all the characters you found today have already gathered by the gates.
